Our systems incorporate the highest levels of built-in security technologies such as encryption, certificates, user defined access rights and anti-bot settings.

Live camera systems require the the primary system components to be powered 24/7. When powering with solar electric, the power plant must be sized accordingly.

Most autonomous live camera systems require a video management system (VMS) and storage on-board the camera. Mobotix and AXIS cameras meet these requirements.

Mobotix cameras include an embedded VMS. For storage, Mobotix cameras support up to 200GB SD cards. The power requirement for Mobotix outdoor ready cameras is 5-7 watts. Mobotix cameras are available with thermal image sensors that operate in zero light conditions. This combination of features and functionality make Mobotix our most popular camera for solar powered projects.

AXIS offers a very wide range of cameras that include fixed cameras up to 33MP image size, thermal cameras and many pan-tilt-zoom models to choose from. AXIS cameras do not include a full featured VMS, however, AXIS is one of a few manufacturers that is supported by Exacq Edge VMS, which can run on a 128GB SD card, on-board an AXIS camera.

Another VMS option to consider for a stand-alone camera system is to run a VMS and storage on an embedded fanless industrial computer with solid state drives (SSD). This does require  an outdoor rated NEMA enclosure to provide protection from the elements, and increases the system cost due to additional components and related increase in power requirements.

System Pricing for Complete Systems

Fully Autonomous, Solar Powered, Wireless, Real-Time Live, High Definition Camera Systems start in the $6500 – $9500 range.

As explained above, most solar powered camera systems systems require an onboard VMS and storage. Full range of options and accessories are available, custom design/build systems on request.

4G/LTE Real-Time Live High Definition Camera Systems start in the $4500 to $6500 range.

4G/LTE cellular IP camera systems are most often used when there is no option for a point-to-point wireless system or a hardwired broadband connection.

Our 4G/LTE video solutions have a proven track record of withstanding the most demanding applications and harsh elements in outdoor and industrial environments. Ruggedized 4G/LTE cellular routers and power supplies have a certified temperature operating range of −22 °F to +158 °F.

We usually recommend using Verizon as your cellular provider as they offer the best performance with the widest coverage in the US. You pay your cellular provider directly for your data usage. A static IP address is often required.

Rapid Deployment Battery Powered Real-Time Live High Definition Camera Systems start in the $5500 to $8500 range.

Fully integrated, self-contained, battery powered rapid deployment portable systems that include high performance IP cameras (fixed or pan-tilt-zoom), 4G/LTE cellular and/or point-to-point wireless communications.

Cameras can be high definition fixed or pan-tilt-zoom, with options for LED IR light or thermal imaging.

Lithium batteries are usually the best choice for battery powered rapid deployment camera systems. Compared to lead acid batteries, lithium ion batteries are much lighter and have higher power density characteristics for maximum performance in the field.

Point-to-Point Wireless Security Camera Systems start in the $3500 to $4500 range.

A single camera point-to-point wireless system is usually comprised of an outdoor rated camera, a pair of radios and a NEMA outdoor enclosure for the power supply, along with mounting hardware.

One radio is typically located at the camera location, the other radio at a nearby location that has internet service.

For best performance, clear line of sight is required between the sending and receiving radios.

Wireless links may be up to 20 miles or more in distance when using high-powered 5.8Ghz radios with dish antennas.
